Professional disinfection through controlled exposure to ultraviolet light (UV-C)
.simple
Li.LAC resembles a futuristic sandwich grill in a robust, 19” 3HE rack-mounted format. Simply place the microphones on the stainless steel grid, close the irradiation chamber and press start. The steel grid holds up to three hand-held microphones or hand-held transmitters. It is also possible to disinfect other objects such as headsets, mosquito microphones, etc.
.quick
A disinfection cycle takes only 5 to 10 minutes. An additional 2 minutes of preheating time may apply to cold UV-C lamps.

Evidence of effectiveness and scientific validation. A disinfection level of 99.99%* for surface disinfection inside Li.LAC has been approved by the independent, accredited laboratory Opsytec Dr. Gröbel GmbH. The Department of Biomedical Engineering and Medical Microbiology & Infection Prevention at the University Medical Center Groningen (UMCG) has conducted extensive scientific studies to evaluate the effectiveness of Li.LAC. Viruses were sprayed on microphones, similar to singing into the microphone. The results show a strong reduction of 99.3% in the viral load of contaminated microphones (including the metal grid and foam underneath) after 10 minutes of irradiation inside the Li.LAC.

Microphone and material compatibility. Any kind of intensive cleaning procedure (soap and water, alcohol or UVC light) has a long-term effect on the materials used in or on microphones. Different types of plastics and the external appearance (colour/gloss) in particular can be changed or deteriorated by "too much cleaning". We have run many tests with different microphones inside the Li.LAC to evaluate the long-term effect of UV-C light.
